Gott's ROADSIDE at The Original Farmers Market

Los Angeles, California

Gott's Roadside at the Original Farmers Market marks the brand's arrival in Southern California, representing the next chapter of a prototype that BCV and the Gott's team have refined together over time. Drawing on the roadside legacy that defines Gott’s identity and the storied history of the Original Farmers Market, one of Los Angeles' most beloved culinary institutions, BCV worked closely with the Gott's team to find in their pairing a natural and compelling common ground.

True to the hallmark Gott's experience, the design centers on an open, airy indoor/outdoor connection, a thread that runs through every iteration of the brand. A canvas-covered exterior terrace extends the dining experience outward, anchored by the easy, unhurried character the brand is known for. Inside, the layout unfolds with an intuitive clarity: an order counter anchors one end, a bar anchors the other, and a fully glazed exhibition kitchen occupies the heart of the space between them, keeping the energy of cooking on full display and reinforcing the transparency and freshness central to the Gott's ethos. A soft serve pickup window offers a playful, signature moment, referencing the beloved individual stalls that have long defined the character of the Original Farmers Market.

A warm material palette of oak benches and tables and IPE wood exterior furniture grounds the space in the natural, tactile quality that has come to define the Gott's aesthetic. A long communal table anchors the dining room, an emergent tradition carried forward from previous Gott's locations that finds easy resonance with the shared, convivial spirit of the Farmers Market itself. Black absolute granite countertops lend a refined counterpoint, threading a note of quiet sophistication through the casual, welcoming atmosphere.
