SUGAR BOWL RESORT: The Locker Room

BCV collaborated with the Sugar Bowl team and chef Traci Des Jardins to create Tahoe’s newest dining destination, Yarrow Restaurant. The design reflects a modern California approach, with a focus on seasonal, community-centered experiences that honor the Village Lodge’s unique mountain setting and history. Designed to support both indoor and outdoor dining, Yarrow encourages connection among guests and a strong relationship to the surrounding landscape. As a key upgrade to the Village Lodge, Yarrow Restaurant features a comprehensive reconfiguration of the culinary infrastructure, more than doubling the kitchen’s footprint. The brand-new kitchen includes a 50-foot-long hot line, fully equipped with all the “bells and whistles” and organized for maximum operational efficiency, supporting high-level restaurant cooking beyond casual fare. Together, the kitchen and bar enable both formal dining and casual indoor-outdoor experiences, reinforcing Yarrow’s role as a social and culinary centerpiece of the lodge.
