COLIN ALLEY, AIA LEED AP

Principal / Director of Operations

Colin Alley, AIA, is a Principal at BCV and serves as the firm's Director of Operations. Colin’s approach to design reflects a strong advocacy for the power of place as a tool for social change and the fostering of community ties. Colin has been instrumental in fostering the firm’s urban design presence, with projects ranging from specific plans to large-scale mixed-use commercial developments. His portfolio includes Market Square’s (the Twitter Building) Ground Floor Market Hall in San Francisco, CA, Olympia Place and Plaza Escuela Retail Centers in downtown Walnut Creek, CA, significant ‘town center’ planning and design efforts at Hollywood Park (Inglewood, CA) and Treasure Island (San Francisco, CA), and Precise/Specific Plan studies for the cities of San Ramon, Walnut Creek, and Napa, CA.

In addition to his design leadership within the firm, Colin also serves as the practice’s Director of Operations, overseeing the bicoastal practice’s business operations and project delivery standards, as well as professional development and mentorship opportunities for staff. Colin enjoys developing a strong interactive rapport with clients and believes that this collaborative approach leads to the most successful projects.
