JaCKSOn SQuare residence
San Francisco, California
Jackson Square Residence combines two modern condo units in San Francisco's historic Jackson Square neighborhood, creating an urban family enclave. The home features a grand main salon with dramatic cityscape views. The salon is the social center of the home and serves as a living room, music room, dining room and gallery for the family’s photography collection. Off this room is a sky-lit kitchen with contrasting Wenge cabinetry and Carrara marble counter tops. An elegant breakfast alcove completes the room.
On the other side of the salon is the library, with persimmon orange walls that provide a strong contrast to the subdued whites and silvers of the salon. The main hall of the home is treated as a long linear art gallery, featuring both three-dimensional objects and works on paper. Each bedroom and bathroom reflects the personality of the individual family members.
