BCV renovated this historic club’s bar to preserve its character while improving how the space functions for members and staff through thoughtful refinements to the layout, detailing, and overall experience. Careful observation of member activity and staff operations informed every design decision.

Custom 10-foot liquor display shelves were added on either side of the bar to better showcase the collection and create a stronger architectural presence. Stepped bottle displays beneath the existing mirror improve organization and service efficiency, while subtle refinements to the bar itself keep proportions intact.

​ A new lighting strategy brings warmth and depth to the space, highlighting the richness of the existing woodwork while creating a sense of air and openness to the room. New Fortuny pendants bring character to the space complemented by a dark ceiling that allows both the fixtures and the historic millwork to stand out. The result is a refined bar that respects the club’s history while enhancing its functionality, improving the member experience, and supporting the daily operations of the staff.
