The urban sibling of the well-known hamburger stand in St. Helena anchors the front corner of the Ferry Building with 3,400 SF of interior space and a 2,500 SF patio. Updated and retooled to reflect its new urban waterfront location, the design still pays homage to the original Taylor’s Refresher with its simple palette of white and stainless steel, punctuated by an oversized neon sign that beckons customers to “EAT.” A series of communal tables, with low four-tops in between, gives the arched white-washed interior a dramatic rhythm, while offering a variety of customer seating options.
The patio, with its abundance of picnic style seating, provides throngs of Gott’s fans front row seats to the active pedestrian life at the Ferry Building Marketplace and Embarcadero waterfront.
