This project transformed a first-generation commercial shell space into a full-service café and bakery, creating a warm, contemporary environment that reflects the brand's artisanal approach to baking and hospitality.

The design embraces an industrial-modern aesthetic by exposing the existing concrete structure and mechanical ductwork while introducing a custom lattice ceiling, suspended decorative lighting, charred millwork, polished concrete floors, and minimalist display shelving. A custom shou sugi ban clad service counter with integrated pastry display cases serves as the focal point of the café. The service counter was designed as a long, linear element that consolidates pastry display, point-of-sale, beverage preparation, and customer pick-up into a single efficient workspace.

Equipment placement and back-of-house circulation were coordinated to minimize travel distances for staff while maintaining clear separation between customer and production areas. Large storefront glazing maximizes daylight and enhances the perception of openness and strengthens the connection between the interior and the pedestrian streetscape.
