BCV Principals have designed Williams-Sonoma flagship stores in premier shopping districts throughout North America, including Beverly Hills, 59th and Lexington in Manhattan, and Toronto's Bloor Street. The projects include both new buildings and conversions of existing structures.
BCV’s approach to the design of the various Williams-Sonoma concepts has been to establish a strong architectural vocabulary, which is used both to create an alluring street presence and to define a dynamic series of spaces that allow for merchandising of the products of each concept.
Each concept finds its focus in a center of activity that also serves as a cashwrap – for Williams-Sonoma the demonstration kitchen, for Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids the design studio. The interiors of all three concepts are organized symmetrically and detailed elegantly to ensure a positive and comfortable shopping experience for shoppers young and old.
