sacramento railyards

sacramento, California

Just north of Downtown Sacramento, the 244+ acre Railyards is one of the premier infill development sites in the country. For decades, the Sacramento Railyards was the center of technology and progress for the region. It was the largest railroad facility west of the Mississippi River, employing over one-third of Sacramento's entire workforce. Today, the Railyards is being transformed into a revitalized hub of innovation, entrepreneurship and technology by LDK Ventures.

BCV is designing the central district of The Railyards, comprised of a mix of modern and historic buildings. It will include a 500,000+ SF retail district with eateries, entertainment, art galleries and retail shops oriented around a central plaza. In addition, The Railyards will also be home to a proposed Major League Soccer arena, Railroad Technology Museum, 900,000 SF Kaiser hospital, 5,000,000 SF of office and more than 30 acres of open space.
