SoMO EAtS

Rohnert Park, California

The SOMO Village development is based on the adaptive re-use of existing buildings within a 25-acre business core in the southern Sonoma city of Rohnert Park. The 175-acre development is envisioned as a social, economic and environmentally resilient community. Re-imagining one of the central buildings of the site, BCV created SOMO Eats, a social hub for the village that mixes indoor/outdoor dining with outdoor public areas and event space.

The 'pavilion in the park' concept re-imagines the area surrounding the building as a pedestrian-only public green, complementing the permeable, indoor/outdoor design with significantly expanded open social areas. The beer-centric hall within provides flexible space for vendors and communal, biergarten-style seating.
