LOOK'S MARKETPLACE
SIOUX FALLS, SOUTH DAKOTA
Look's Marketplace creates a new culinary epicenter for the city, re-envisioning a former event center and restaurant as a mercantile and dining destination with a diverse mix of offerings. The team behind Look’s Meat Market, one of Sioux Falls’ oldest and most well-known businesses (founded in 1883) engaged BCV Architecture + Interiors to create an environment that celebrates the intersection of local food and community in the city. BCV’s interior design of the 24,300 sq. ft. market creates a layered gastronomic experience with a focus on showcasing local and regional producers. The mercantile program balances a butcher counter, bakery, deli and cheesemonger alongside fresh produce, wine and more.
Adjacent to specialty retail offerings, the restaurant at Look's Marketplace combines a mix of full service dining with casual counter service, with a focus on open fire cooking. Two pavilion buildings onsite will house a micro-brewery and a kitchen classroom, contributing to the diverse range of activity at the market.
