BCV Founding Principal Hans Baldauf is honored to have curated the section on John Marsh Davis in Outré West: The American School of Architecture from Oklahoma to California at the Oklahoma Contemporary. This project grew out of Hans’ book on the early work of John Marsh Davis (Oscar Riera Ojeda Publishers, 2022).

The exhibition features the work of five California Architects who studied under Bruce Goff and/or Herb Greene at the University of Oklahoma from the late 1940s through the 1960s and then went on to work primarily in California.

Hans was part of a curator panel at the opening on August 22, 2024 and then participated in a symposium that featured a key note address Alan Hess gave on the history of Organic Architecture in the United States with a particular focus of its evolution in the West.
