HOG ISLAND OYSTER CO.

Napa and San Francisco, California

BCV has designed two locations for Hog Island Oyster Co., in the San Francisco Ferry Building and at Napa's Oxbow Public Market. The first, located along the San Francisco waterfront, provides a classic oyster experience amidst a bustling marketplace setting.

In response to the Napa location's unique wine country setting, the materials palette within Oxbow Public Market is warmer and more organic. The main focus is the large bar, where diners can watch oyster-shucking, and also the prominent aerial display of a refurbished Hog Island fishing boat, once used for operations at the oyster farm in Tomales Bay.
