WOODBINE MASTER PLAN
Toronto, Canada

Opened in 1956, Woodbine Racetrack hosts both Thoroughbred and Standardbred racing. BCV is part of a dynamic team that has created a master plan for the 684-acre property, creating a “city within a city.” Together with real estate development advisors LiveWorkLearnPlay (LWLP), the master planning team included SWA Group, in collaboration with BCV Architects and Nelson Nygaard.

The vision for the plan enables Woodbine to continue as an important destination for horse racing and gaming, while integrating new entertainment, cultural and culinary offerings, as well as hotel, office, education, recreation, health, wellness, and urban residential living. The first phase of development will include an expanded gaming district with integrated entertainment, hospitality and related amenities.
