RANCH HOUSE
Northern California

In the vast and pristine rural Northern California setting, sited amidst great oaks and rolling hills, this new residence adjoins a collection of several existing ranch buildings to create a family compound and headquarters for a working cattle ranch.

Thick whitewashed stucco walls, metal roofs and interior circulation galleries evoke both adobe and ranch house vernacular and provide relief from summer sun and heat. The main living quarters are joined to the guest wing by a two-story study/art room/observation deck.
