OFFICE MANAGER - HR COORDINATOR

ABOUT
Human Resources

Employee Relations

  • Coordinate the new hire onboarding process [orientation and training] and exit process
  • Coordinate special events, morale building functions, and various programs to boost the quality of the workplace
  • Counsel employees with any questions or concerns relating to human resources
  • Maintain historical human resource records; keeping past and current records
  • Administer annual employee reviews

Interpreting Company Policies & Practices

  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal, state and local requirements
  • Maintain employee benefits programs; recommend benefit programs to management; direct the processing of benefit claims; obtain and evaluate benefit contract bids; award benefit contracts
  • Maintain and update employee policies and procedures
  • Analyze and identify various HR data and trends

Recruiting

  • Manage the hiring/recruiting process. Post job descriptions on selected professional job boards, review and screen resumes, assist in the shortlisting and screening of applicants, track applicants, create and send offer letters
  • Engage with potential talent and utilize resources to obtain optimum outcomes 

Operations

Purchasing

  • Maintain vendor management and purchase oversight for the facilities in NY and SF; doing research, cost analysis, and awarding contracts
  • Identify solutions for process inefficiencies
  • Review and approve vendor invoices for all expenditures

Facilities

  • Coordination of any issues in regards to the normal operations of the office (electrical, plumbing, landlord, etc.)
  • Facilitate maintenance of studio for optimal performance and appeal
  • Manage offsite storage of records

Business Management

  • Maintain and analyze all insurance for the company
  • Maintain and coordinate various government regulations and requirements

Licensing

  • Renew and maintain Principal and firm licenses

Leasing

  • Research, analysis, and execution for all company leases

IT

  • Cost analysis and assistance in forecasting of IT procurement
  • Communicate and coordinate with IT support for resolutions and implementations

Supervise Administrative Support Staff

  • Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employee(s); following up on work results

Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD / Sketchup / Adobe CS is a must; proficiency with Revit and 3D Max rendering software is preferred.

JUNIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER

LOCATION

ABOUT
BCV Architects is currently seeking a junior interior designer with 2-4 years of design experience to join our interior design department. Job duties will include:

  • Collaborate on lifestyle, hospitality, retail, food and beverage, and high-end residential interiors projects, including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documents and contract administration
  • Develop space planning concepts and generate program documents
  • Participate in selection of furniture and lighting, and prepare specifications
  • Produce millwork/custom furniture and fixture drawings and details, which meet various and specific program requirements while also representing an overall design concept
  • Provide project team coordination for finish plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction
  • Work with consultants, furniture dealers, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives
  • Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
  • Act as the primary contact for all manufacturer representatives, including organizing vendor presentations
  • Maintain and organize the firm's technical library and design reference and sample libraries

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-4 years of related experience as an Interior Designer or Architectural Designer with focus on interiors
  • Knowledge of the design process, including FF&E, specifications, color and materials
  • Excellent graphic presentation skills
  • Revit experience preferred
  • AutoCAD knowledge is required
  • Flexibility to focus on a single client with a variety of project types or multiple, concurrent projects in various stages of development
  • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly and efficiently
  • Strong organizational, communication and relationship management skills
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator required
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling program such as SketchUp is required
  • Knowledge of additional 3D modeling programs such as Rhino and 3D Max is preferred
  • Knowledge of rendering programs such as Vray, Lumion, Maxwell or others is preferred
